At the Monday December 21, 2009, meeting of the Iowa Colony City Council, Mayor Robert Wall presented the members of the Iowa Colony Fire Department with an astounding third consecutive “Citizen of the Year” award. Proudly accepting the award on behalf of the members was Fire Chief James Ledbetter. This is the highest honor within the small community and is a testament to the constant hard work and dedication displayed by these men and women. Mayor Wall stated during his presentation that he has been consistently impressed with the performance and professionalism of the department and he looks forward to seeing the further growth that he expects. |
